Get Ready to Laugh Hard. Run Fast. Be Kind.

You’re one pull of the TARDIS console lever away from being a part of a Whovian Running Club virtual run!

Each virtual event is a fun, engaging, and magical way to get up and moving for the best reasons: you’re doing some good for your personal health and fitness, while doing something truly amazing for the world at the same time.

It’s easy. It’s rewarding. And it warmly welcomes you into a community of over 7,000 people who have logged over 2,000,000 miles running, jogging, walking, and more; and raised over $170,000 for small, incredible charity partners around the world.

What’s a “virtual run”, and how does it work?

A virtual run is an event that can be run in any location, at any time, at any pace. You can walk, jog, or run; use the treadmill, hit the road, sidewalk, or trail; you can even participate day or night or even in another “real-world” race. It’s completely up to you!

Here in the Whovian Running Club (part of the Fanthropy Running Clubs), each virtual run celebrates an aspect of traveling time and space, where participants receive a custom-designed finisher’s medal for their fitness effort, and the charity partner for that event receives donations from the proceeds.

Each Whovian Running Club event has a defined distance, and an open registration period of typically one month.

You register for the event with a $27 donation, and that event has a unique charity partner who will receive a donation from the registration proceeds!

By registering for a WRC virtual event, you’re able to do the event’s distance in any way you choose, whenever and wherever you choose. Run on a treadmill! Hike in the woods! Walk your campus or workplace hallways! It’s really “your race, your pace, your place”.

You don’t have to report back to us to prove you’ve completed it, or use any tracking apps to monitor distance unless you choose to. This is all about you!

Best of all, about two weeks after the event registration ends you’ll be sent an incredible, uniquely designed Whovian-themed medal!

The medals are shipped on the “honor system”…if you don’t have the opportunity to complete your distance by the time the medal arrives, that’s okay! Just get it done how, when, and where you can, and then you can show off that medal with Whovian pride!

That’s what we call Fanthropy.

When you combine the passion of fandom with the game-changing power of philanthropy, you get Fanthropy.

You win. The charity partner wins. The world wins. Isn’t that what the Doctor would want us to do?

Time to sign up for the event, and start saving the universe today!
